Please note that we have NOT included ALL the possible GTA3 cheats here. The simple reason behind this is that some have the potential to seriously screw up your game. To my knowledge, all the ones here are SAFE. If you want to ruin your game with unstable cheats, you're gonna have to look elsewhere for them.
To enter cheats, start the game, stand still (the character that is, not you...) and press the relevant buttons/keys on your keyboard (PC version) or keypad (PS2 version). Sub-missions...
When in an emergency vehicle or a Taxi, press the right analogue stick (R3) and you will be given the chance to do a sub-mission for extra cash!

Look out for ROCKSTAR billboards - hidden packages/items are usually located near by...

Package tip!
For every 10 hidden packages you find, you gain access to a new weapon located at your hideout... free of charge, too!

Police Bribe.
Get 45 kills in vigilante mode to unlock a police bribe that is available in your hideout.

Prostitute Tip...
Head to the Red Light District. Any car except the police car, FBI car, Ambulance, Fire Truck or Taxi will do. Pull your car along side any of the firls wearing a brown or pink outfit. She will walk over to the car and bend over. A few seconds later she should get in your car. Drive to a secluded area and stop the car. Be quick about it as your money will drain for the amount of time you have her in the car! Once the car is stopped, it will begin rocking. It'll rock slow to start with before picking up motion and getting faster. Your health is being replenished... You money, however, is being taken away from you. Once your health is up to a maximum of 125, she will get out and walk away. If your feeling particularly cold-blooded, you can get out of the car, chase after the prostitute, beat her, and take your money back!

Fast car in Portland...
Head to the car dealership next to 8-ball's place and drive through the windows. A Vipe should be located inside!

Bulletproof Patriot!
Complete the mission from Ray in Stanton Island called "Marked Man" and you will recive the keys to his stash. There you will find a flamethrower, rocket launcher, LOTS of cash and a Bulletproof Patriot!

Bonus Buggy!
Complete the Mafia missions in story mode to unlock the Buggy. Return to Portland and go to the Diablo parking lot (where the mission phone is located) between 19:00 and 24:00 to find the same Buggy glimpsed in Joey's garage from the Mafia mission. It will appear in the same location and change color each time.

Crazt money!
Look out for ramps and high slopes. If you drive up them fast enough, you can jump certain obstacles such as buildings and truck trailers. If successful, you can get a "Insane Bonus" message, resulting in a bit cash bonus!

Easy Cash
When riding around in Island 2, look for a women dressed as a sprinter/jogger. Get out and attack/kill her. After doing so, collect the cash she leaves on the floor.

Race Missions...
Go to the Super Saver Grocery Store in Newport. Enter the car in the parking lot to get a secret race-type mission, where you must go through check points.

Fastest car in game?!
In Portland, go to the Capital Auto shop. Take a big car and ram it into the glass on the store to break it. Inside is the fastest car in the game, which resembles a Shelby.

Paparazi Mission Tip
Rather than chasing down the boat, simply walk over to the wall next to A's apartment. When you have a clear view of the photographer's boat, select the "bazooka" weapon and pump three shots into the boat. If done correctly, this will result in instant victory without getting your feet wet.

Super fast tank!!!
To get the tank to go extremely fast, turn your turret to face directly back, then fire repeatedly. Watch your shots -- if you hit any cars the cops will chase you. This is especially useful for the Vigilante missions.

Get your favorite paint job!
Go to pay and spray once. Pay the $1,000 for the new engine (etc.) and paint job. Then, immediately drive back in an get a new paint job, free of charge. This can be done as many times as needed until you get the desired paint job.

Matrix style fighting?!
When you are "on drugs" (when the small pill icon appears), get into a fist fight or have a shoot out with someone. The fight will have a Matrix-type effect.

Sirens...
Steal ether a police, ambulance, or fire truck (easier to steal). Turn on the sirens and all cars on the road will pull over and get out of your way. This will not bring your wanted level up. Try staying in the center of the road -- if you go to the side of the intersection, cars will either hit you or cause a road block.

Blood in German version!
If you have the German PAL Version of GTA3 you may have noticed that there is NO blood in the game - it was censored out... To enable it, set your default language to ENGLISH and do the same in the GTA3 options. Start the game and blood should now be enabled!

Long Distance Running...
To prevent yourself from tiring and to allow yourself to run further, keep tapping X instead of holding it down.
